School Board and Council: Primary Election Tuesday

Primary election for running candidates on both school board and council will be held tomorrow.

There are four seats up for election on school board and council.

Running for school board are incumbents Anthony Buzzelli, Kathy Pansera and Renee Pitrelli who will be running against newcomers Norm Boots, Kathy McCommons and Barbra Wilson.

Running for council are Republican incumbents Council President Connie MacDonald and Council Vice President David DeCaria, Democratic incumbent Councilwoman Michele Lamenza running against Republican newcomers Rob Brough, John Cress, Brandon Fisher and Lisa Gurrera and Democratic newcomers James Barry, Caleb Cragle, John Pansera and Bryan Vincent.

Both council and school board will have at least one newcomer elected; school board member Matt Morella and Councilman Brad Ovial are not running for reelection.

Ellwood City’s Mayor, Anthony Court, and District Judge, Jerry G. Cartwright, are also seeking reelection.
