On Thursday, Mayor Court held the Mayor’s Advisory Committee meeting at Nico’s Restaurant on Wampum Avenue.
During the breakfast meeting the Mayor advised members who the six winners for the 2017 Beautification Awards were and that each was presented with an Award Sign and a gift certificate from one of our local restaurants.
Mayor Court combined the Community Awareness Night with the Crime Watch meeting when speaking at several locations throughout the area.
Other discussions were that the Veterans Memorial Swimming Pool has been well run and used often this year by many community residents.
The Mayor stated that the “Street paving” is a temporary inconvenience with a long term benefit of permanent improvements.
The Mayor stated that there are been 402 drug arrests since he has been in office. The Borough has received several complaints regarding free roaming cats and that our ACO is on top of the problem.
The next meeting for the Mayor’s Advisory will be held in the Mayors Office @ 3pm on September 28, 2017.
