Kenneth H. Walton, 72

Kenneth H. Walton, 72, of Wayne Township, Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, April 13, 2016 at his residence following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Ellwood City on April 8, 1944 to the late John J. Walton, who passed away Oct. 21, 1999, and the late Eva B. McQuiston Walton, who passed away Jan. 17, 2013.  He graduated from Lincoln High School in the class of 1963 and married his wife of 49 years, Sarah Ketterer Walton, on July 29, 1967.

He worked at the former George K. Garrett Company (MSL) in Ellwood City, Conn Construction in New Castle, and Veka, Inc. in Fombell before retiring. He loved animals, especially horses, donkeys, and dogs, and enjoyed hunting. Kenneth also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth H. Walton, Jr., in infancy, his brother, John W. Walton, and his sister-in-law, Patty Walton.

In addition to his wife, Sarah Ketterer Walton, Kenneth is survived by three children, Carol Mason of Ellwood City, John W. Walton of  Harrisburg, and Nicole (and Jeffrey) Leddon of Ellwood City. Seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive, as well as his brother, Robert E. Walton, of Ellwood City.

Private visitation for immediate family only was held at the Turner Funeral Home of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue.
