John E. Palinski, 75

John E. “Buddy” Palinski, 75, of Lynnwood Dr., Fombell died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family who will miss him tremendously on Sunday, April 10, 2016.

Born August 11, 1940 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late John and Mary Kendi Palinski. He was married for 57 years to Mary K. Murphy Palinski who survives.

John was originally from the Brookline Area of Pittsburgh. He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1979. John and his family then settled in the Fombell area. John worked for Loral Data System in Sarasota, Florida and for Mitsubishi Electric, traveling the world, including Brazil, Australia, Greenland, Iceland, and Canada, serving as a consultant for power plant construction. He enjoyed camping at his second home in Tionesta. He also enjoyed cooking, the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, boating, and traveling. He cross country RV’ed as far as Alaska to fish. He has traveled to every state in the US His hobby was woodworking where from a shop in his home, he made furniture that will be cherished by his family. Highly respected by everyone he met, but especially by his family.

In addition to his wife, Mary, survivors include a son, John E. (Myra Lee Daufen) Palinski II of North Sewickley Twp.; daughter, Theresa (Jim) Calhoun of Darlington; four grandchildren, Jonathon Palinski and Victoria “Tori” Palinski, both of North Sewickley Twp., James Calhoun and his fiancé Sara Boss of Ellwood City and Natasha Calhoun of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Irene Fonner of Bridgeville, Theresa (Roger) Hale of Seneca, PAand a brother Robert (Carla) Palinski of Pittsburgh.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary Ann Kuhta and Virginia “Jeannie” Flick.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Military rites will be offered by Veterans Honor Guard.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 am with Pastor Dennis Arndt officiating.

Interment will follow in the Lillyville Church of God Cemetery.
