The Lady Wolverines jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after two innings against the Raiders at Stiefel Park. The lead would prove to be short lived as Seneca Valley plated nine runs in the third and fourth to win going away by a score of 15-4.
Taylor Covert led the offense with three singles, two RBI’s and scored once. She also added two stolen bases. Madi Krugh and Olivia Battaglia each added singles and scored once. Zoe Maine and Chloe Sturgeon rounded out the seven hit attack with singles. Maine and Krugh also had stolen bases.
Krugh took the loss as she went the distance. Over seven innings of work, the lefthander struck out eight and walked 13. She also yielded 15 hits.
The young Wolverines will look to get their first win on Thursday as they travel to Shaler to battle the Titans. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
