Library Activities Week of January 11, 2016

Activities taking place at the Ellwood City Area Public Library include the following:

Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 4 p.m. – The Library Anniversary Committee will meet to discuss upcoming activities and events. New members are always welcome, so call the library for more information.

Thursday, Jan. 14, at 3 p.m. – “Hooked on Books,” a book discussion group designed for students in 6th through 8th grades. The group will discuss the book, “The Kill Order,” by James Dashner. Call the library for more information.

The library will be closed on Monday, Jan. 18, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 19.

A schedule of activities for the new year will be in place very soon, so call the library for more information.

The library offers three different book discussion groups for adults, including one that focuses on classic literature. Call the library for more information.

The “Movie Nights for Adults” will continue into the 2016 year and will resume in February. Work on the schedule of movies to be shown, including the dates, is currently under way and will be available very soon.

The following are memorial contributions received by the library in December. Memorials are published on a weekly basis in this column and represent a portion of the contributions received in any given month.
