Ellwood City Names Sean McConahy As Next Football Head Coach

The Wolverines have their new head coach for its football program. Ellwood City hired Sean McConahy as its next head high school football coach during a special board meeting on Friday, February 20th. McConahy, a current science teacher at LHS, brings experience in the district, passion for football and conditioning, and coaching experience at one of more recent success stories in District 10 (Wilmington coaching staff). Ellwood City Looking To Hire Head Football and Basketball Coaches

The Ellwood City Area School District is seeking applicants to fill its anticipated vacancies for head football coach and head boys basketball coach. Current coach Dan Bradley is moving on from his positions after four seasons with the Wolverines. Bradley will wrap up as head coach of 2025-26 boys basketball season (currently 7-8 Overall) this winter after steering the Wolverines football team to a second consecutive playoff berth and a 7-5 record in the fall. Tickets are now available and on sale for Friday’s home playoff game. Ellwood City hosts Keystone Oaks at 7:00 p.m. All tickets must be a WPIAL ticket which may be purchased online at GOFAN.com.
