The Wilmington Hockey team defeated Central Valley 9-5 at Hess Ice Rink Monday evening, earning its first victory of the young season. The Wilmington hockey team’s season came to an end with a 5-1 loss at the hands of top seeded Bishop Canevin in the PIHL Division 2 semi-finals at Robert Morris University Island Sports Center Thursday evening. An overtime game-winning goal by Ellwood City’s Drake Tomak propelled the Wilmington hockey team to 2-1 upset victory over Bishop Canevin Thursday night. The loss was only Bishop Canevin’s second of the year which were both at the hands of the Greyhounds.
