Wilmington Hockey Earns First Victory Of Season, Defeats Central Valley 9-5

The Wilmington Hockey team defeated Central Valley 9-5 at Hess Ice Rink Monday evening, earning its first victory of the young season. On Monday, Andrew Cartwright (Union) and Noah King (Wilmington) each collected five points to lead Wilmington offensive charge. Wilmington Hockey Season Ends In PIHL Semifinals Loss

The Wilmington hockey team’s season came to an end with a 5-1 loss at the hands of top seeded Bishop Canevin in the PIHL Division 2 semi-finals at Robert Morris University Island Sports Center Thursday evening. An overtime game-winning goal by Ellwood City’s Drake Tomak propelled the Wilmington hockey team to 2-1 upset victory over Bishop Canevin Thursday night. The loss was only Bishop Canevin’s second of the year which were both at the hands of the Greyhounds. The Wilmington hockey team defeated Burrell 8-1 at Hess Ice Rink on Tuesday extending their team point streak to eight straight game. The Wilmington hockey team defeated Trinity at Hess Ice Rink on Senior Night by a score of 7-6.
