Riverside School District To Host Veterans Day Assembly

On Wednesday, Riverside High School will host its annual Veterans Day Assembly. The assembly this year will honor the four Riverside young men who lost their lives in Vietnam. In the fall of 2019, a Riverside graduate visited Riverside High School, asking about our Riverside boys who lost their lives in Vietnam. Ellwood City Honors Veterans Day

Veterans Day falls annually on November 11, as a day to appreciate our veterans who have fought and continue to fight for our freedom. Veterans Day was initially started in 1938 to honor World War I veterans because on November 11, 1918, Germany signed an armistice agreement with the Allies- effectively ending World War I.
