ASSAULT: Lawrence Morini, 22, of Wampum, is charged with Simple Assault after an incident occurring on September 28th. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 10:58 p.m. ECPD Officers were dispatched to a nearby bar for reports of an assault that occurred. When police arrived, ECFD was conducting CPR on the victim and witnesses explained the situation to officers. The owner of the bar was contacted and showed ECPD Police video footage of the incident. THEFT: Paula Schwartz, 39, of Ellwood City, is charged with Theft after an incident reported on September 18th. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 3:00 p.m., the owner of Uni-Mart reported a theft that occurred at his business and advised police that his employee, Schwartz, stole money out of the cash drawer and five cartons of cigarettes overnight. THEFT: Steven Tedrow, 34, of Ellwood City is charged with Theft after an incident occurring on April 4th at approximately 10:30p.m. A victim told police his credit card was stolen and used for the following purchases: Speedway April 4th, at 11:24p.m. $108.71 for a carton of cigarettes, April 4th at 11:28p.m. $104.31 for a carton of cigarettes, Sunoco Gas Station on April 4th at 11:51p.m. $106.95 declined purchase of a carton of cigarettes according to a criminal complaint. ASSAULT: On July 23rd at approximately 8:09 a.m. police were called due to a report of domestic abuse between a male and female at a residence on State Line Road, Little Beaver Township. The caller advised police that the female told him she was struck with a gun by her boyfriend, Denis Lozinsky. According to a criminal complaint police arrived on scene and had concluded that the victim was no longer inside the residence. Officers attempted to hail Lozinskiy before making entry. THEFT, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Terry Janiel, 18, of Ellwood City is charged with multiple counts of Theft from Motor Vehicles, Criminal Mischief, and Loitering after several incidents in late June. According to criminal complaints, and first on June 23rd, officers obtained footage of Janiel and other actors walking around the area of 600 Line Avenue after a previous night of thefts, and the actors had attempted to rob someone with a firearm and then fled the area. THEFT: According to a police report, a 58-year-old male from Ellwood City reported a theft of a gun from his residence on Dutch Ridge Road, Wayne Township. Upon police arrival, it was discovered that a Ruger 22 cal. was taken from the clove box of an unlocked Chevy Silverado. The gun is valued at $476.97. The theft was reported to have taken place between April 1st and June 19th of 2024 and the investigation is ongoing.
