According to WPXI, early this morning around 1:30a.m., 85-year-old Ellport resident, Don Lutz came face to face with two intruders inside his home on Jamison Avenue. Season Tickets for Wolverines Basketball

Season tickets for the Ellwood City Wolverines Varsity Boys and Girls 2017/2018 basketball seasons will be on sale in the high school office. The cost is $20 for each season ticket. Tickets will be sold individually as a boys ticket and a girls ticket. Season tickets will also be sold at the games. General admission game tickets are $5 for adults and $1 for senior citizens.  Student Super Fan tickets will be sold in room 319. Student tickets will be $ 2.00 at the door.


Commissioners Honor BC3, Present Proclamation to Native Ellwood City Graduate

Butler, PA- Butler County Commissioners Leslie Osche, Kimberly Geyer and Kevin Boozel on Wednesday recognized Butler County Community College’s back-to-back rankings as the No. 1 community college in Pennsylvania by presenting a proclamation to BC3 President Dr. Nick Neupauer during the board’s public meeting. Neupauer, formerly of Ellwood City, is a 1985 graduate of Lincoln High School. The 8.5-inch by 14-inch tan proclamation, enclosed in a navy blue folder stamped with the Commissioners’ Office, Butler County, PA crest, also lauded BC3 for 2017 accomplishments prior to the college being selected No. 1 again in October by Schools.com. The Ellwood City United Fund is having a Pens Hockey Ticket Raffle, winner will receive 4-Pens hockey tickets to the February 27 game in section 104, Row F, seats 7, 8, 9 and 10 as well as $200 cash. Fombell Man Eludes Officers in High Speed Chase Ryan Patrick Kelosky, 24, of Fombell, is facing charges of fleeing an officer and reckless driving after an incident occurred late last month. According to the criminal complaint, officers observed Kelosky stop at a green light then peel out at the intersection of Fountain Avenue and Second Street. While the officer was attempting to stop the vehicle, Kelosky sped up over 100mph around the 100 block of Portersville Road until the officer was no longer able to see the vehicle.
