The winter sports season is just starting at Lincoln High School.

Wolverines Basketball

Name: Nico Lucarelli

Parents: Bob and Chariene Lucarelli

Grade: 12

What are you looking forward to about the season?

Making playoffs, win a title and having fun.

What have you and the team been doing to prepare?

Busting our butts in the off season and during practice.

Are there any tough opponents this season?

Every opponent we play.

How do you hope to improve this year?

Help the team win.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned through this sport?

Never give up and play each game like it’s your last.

What will you miss about it after graduation?

Being able to put the jersey on and stepping onto the court.

Future plans?

Sports management at SRU.

 

Name: Dominick Spadafore

What are you looking forward to about the season?

Playing with friends and making playoffs, and winning section.

What have you and the team been doing to prepare?

Working together.

Are there any tough opponents this season?

Riverside, Aliquippa and Lincoln Park.

How do you hope to improve this year?

Become a team player and help out everyone else.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned through this sport?

Learn teamwork to use for a job.

What will you miss about it after graduation?

Friends.

Future plans?

4 year college for engineering.

Playing as a team.

How do you hope to improve this year?

By competing with teammates.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned through this sport?

Work together as a team.

What will you miss about it after graduation?

Playing the sport with my brothers.

Future plans?

Lady Wolverines Basketball

What are you looking forward to about the season?

The memories I will make with the team.

What have you and the team been doing to prepare?

Running game speed drills and working on plays.

Are there any tough opponents this season?

There is always competition in our section.

How do you hope to improve this year?

I hope to become a better player and person by working hard to better myself.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned through this sport?

Team work and perseverance have taken us a long way throughout the years.

What will you miss about it after graduation?

I will miss playing with my teammates.

Future plans?

Attend college to study mechanical engineering.

 

Wrestling

What are you looking forward to about the season?

Hopefully making team playoffs and I want to go to states.

What have you and the team been doing to prepare?

We have been practicing a lot and working hard.

Are there any tough opponents this season?

Yeah there are a quite a few.

How do you hope to improve this year?

I want to place at regionals this year and go to states.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned through this sport?

You get what you put in.

What will you miss about it after graduation?

I will miss my teammates and the fun we have.

Future plans?

Going to Kent State for Architecture.
