Animal Hospital Presents Check to Police Department

Ellwood City’s Mayor Anthony J. Court was thrilled to accept a check from Tammy of the Ellwood City Animal Hospital on behalf of the Ellwood City Police K9 Team, Ranger and Sgt. McBride. Just recently Dr. Cindy Mauro of the Ellwood Animal Hospital, Mayor Court and Sgt. McBride participated in a fundraiser so that the K9 Unit could purchase a GPS for K9 Ranger. Mayor Court and the Ellwood City Police Department/K9 Unit send a “Special Thank You” to Dr. Mauro, The Ellwood City Animal Hospital and to all those who participated in the excellent fundraiser.

Mayor Court Presents Commendation to Local Resident

Mayor Court was honored to present a Commendation to Ann Tammaro, a life long resident and friend to many people in Ellwood City. Ann had given much of her time to her hometown as a volunteer, and Mayor Court presented her with a special Commendation on her 93rd Birthday for her dedicated service to the Ellwood City community. Mayor Meets with Residents on National Community Night Out

On Tuesday, August 1, 2017 Mayor Anthony J. Court and Lt. David Kingston of the Ellwood City Police Department participated in “The National Community Night Out” meeting and greeting residents throughout Ellwood City. The Mayor stated that both were well received by the community and they enjoyed the one on one with the residents, letting them know that they will continue to stamp out crime in the city. Third Street Resident Wins Final Beautification Award

On Tuesday, Mayor Anthony J. Court presented to Ronalyn Parsons of 3rd Street, Ellwood City with the 6th and final 2017 Beautification Award Winner sign and gift certificate. The landscape at her families home shows the care and effort put into making the it enjoyable view for others. Mayor Court wants to thank everyone who participated in this annual event. Many nominations were received and he wishes he could award many more residents. Mayor Court wishes to thank those businesses who donated the gift certificates and the Ellwood City Forge for helping with the signs.


Community Members Encouraged to Partake in Ellwood City Clean Up Day

On Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 11a.m. – 2p.m., Mayor Anthony J. Court in conjunction with the Jeff Potter Baseball Tour will have an Ellwood City Clean Up Day.  This is a “Community Wide” event and everyone is invited to participate. Those participating will meet at the Ewing Park Pool Parking Lot prior to 11:00 am. After the clean-up, those participating will be at 1:45 p.m. at the Lions Club Shelter, inside Ewing Park. Vests, gloves and bags will be available for the clean-up and drinks and a lite snack will be provided by McDonalds, Johnny’s and Red Hot.

On Thursday, 6-29-17 Mayor Court presented the 4th 2017 Beautification Award yard sign and Gift Certificate to Ginny Brest of Fountain Avenue. Almost every year since the program began, someone from her neighborhood has nominated Ginny for this award. Her landscape is always pristine perfect and it’s always an honor to present the award to people who truly care about how their hard work has paid off.
