2022 Riverside Homecoming Court Announced

Congratulations to the 2022 Riverside Homecoming Court! The court was announced at the end of last week and the queen will be crowned Friday night at halftime of the Riverside football game. The Homecoming game will be played against Western Beaver at home, with the game starting at 7:00 p.m. The Panthers will look to rebound from their 44-14 loss last week at Beaver Falls that snapped Riverside’s 3-game winning streak.  The team carries a 3-2 season record into the contest. Sam Hughes scampered for two touchdowns to lead the Riverside Panthers to their first victory of the season, a 19-0 victory over rival Ellwood City on Friday night during Homecoming at Riverside’s Memorial Stadium. Madeline Dimeo was named Riverside Homecoming Queen during halftime. Hughes, who finished with 90 yards rushing, scored from 21 years and 19 yards while Brady Barton found the endzone on a 45 yard touchdown for the Panthers (1-4, 1-6 overall). Congratulations are in order for the 2021 Ellwood City Homecoming Queens, Alyssa Jeffcoat and Kyla Servick, and the Homecoming King, Alexander Roth. All parties were recognized during the Friday evening football game at Helling Stadium as part of Homecoming festivities. The host Wolverines were defeated by Neshannock 58-14. Lincoln High School will celebrate its 65th Annual Homecoming on Friday, October 1st, when the Ellwood City Wolverines host the Neshannock Lancers at Helling Stadium. Congratulations are in order for the 2020 Ellwood City Homecoming Queen and King! The winners were announced Friday night during the Ellwood City varsity football game at Helling Stadium that pitted the Wolverines against Beaver Falls.  Ellwood City was defeated 54-26 in the football contest. The 64th annual Lincoln High School Homecoming football game will be played this Friday at 7:00 p.m. when the Wolverines will host the Beaver Falls Tigers. This year, Homecoming festivities will look a little different due to Covid-19. A Homecoming King will be crowned at a ceremony to take place at Helling Stadium at 4:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon. Congratulations to Sarina Steigerwald the 2018 Riverside Homecoming Queen who was crowned by the Crown Bearer Natalie Bologna at half time. In football action, the Riverside Panthers fell to Mohawk 34-18 Friday night in a Midwestern Conference showdown.  Both teams entered the homecoming contest vying for playoff positions. Warriors running back Braydon Cameron scored three times on the ground and defensively with an interception return of 80 yards to lead Mohawk (6-1, 5-1) to victory.
