PHOTOS: Ellwood City Falls To Western Beaver On Homecoming

Unbeaten Western Beaver (7-0, 4-0 Section 2A-2) knocked off host Ellwood City 29-12 Friday night at Helling Stadium. Sydney Woodhead was crowned homecoming queen at halftime. Jackson Kerr was crowned Homecoming King at a pep rally on Thursday. Standout junior running back Wyatt Sparbanie went down with an injury in the first quarter but the visiting Golden Beavers leaned on two additional supplies of offensive in the conference victory. PHOTOS: Riverside Beats Freedom 37-7 On Homecoming

Mason Holler rushed for 212 yards and two touchdowns Friday night as Riverside beat Freedom 37-7 on homecoming. Isabella Hall was named Riverside Homecoming Queen at halftime. Wideout Hunter Garcia hauled in five receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown to spark the Panthers offense. Garcia opened up the scoring with a 2-yard touchdown run as part of his two-touchdown evening. 2025 Riverside Homecoming Court Announced

The Riverside High School has announced its 2025 Homecoming Court. Homecoming Game is Friday, October 3rd at 7:00 p.m. Pregame starts at 6:30 p.m. Crowning of the 2025 Homecoming Queen will take place during halftime of the Panthers football game against the Freedom Area Bulldogs. The Riverside Homecoming dance is Saturday, October 4th at 7:30 p.m. at the Riverside High School. There is no homecoming king. Roslyn Steinbach was crowned the 2024 Riverside Homecoming last September. Western Beaver jumped on Riverside early, gaining an early 21-0 advantage as they held on to defeat the Panthers 21-10 Friday night at Riverside Memorial Stadium. Brandon Mayo scored two first half rushing touchdowns for the Golden Beavers (4-1 Overall) who remain unbeaten in MAC section play. PHOTOS: A Record Setting Night, Ellwood City Beats New Brighton 62-40

History is being made at Ellwood City. In a wild offensive showcase Friday night that featured over 100 combined points and 1,000 combined yards of offense by the Wolverines and Lions, another pair of century marks were reached individually by two Ellwood City juniors who combined to lead the Wolverines to a 62-40 victory on Homecoming night. Running back Elijah Palmer-McCane rushed for 285 yards and four touchdowns on the ground and quarterback Chris Smiley threw for 275 yards and five touchdowns.
