Ellwood City Fire Department Among Many To Receive State Grants

Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Butler/Lawrence) announced Wednesday local fire companies and emergency medical services (EMS) agencies were awarded state grants totaling nearly $216,000 from the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program. The program was created by the Legislature and is administered by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and Office of the State Fire Commissioner (OSFC). Lake Forest Gardens, Sturges Orchard To Receive Agriculture Innovation Grants

HARRISBURG – Sen. Elder Vogel, Jr. (R-47) announced this week the approval of three state grants to improve agricultural innovation in Beaver County. Vogel said the following Agriculture Innovation Grants are being awarded by the state Department of Agriculture: Lake Forest Gardens of Fombell will receive $24,600 for automating tree-grading and sizing. Tiny Seed Farm of Rochester will receive $75,000 for the development of an integrated, sustainable farm-to-sale innovation plan. Riverside School District Receives Public School Facility Improvement Grant

Riverside Beaver County School District received $350,000 for a roof repair, HVAC, and plumbing system project at the Riverside Beaver County Elementary/Middle School facility as part of PA Public School Facility Improvement Grant Program (PSFIG). The program provides grants to public school districts and area career and technical schools for eligible facility improvement projects. BC3 To Expand Pioneer Pantry To Lawrence Crossing As Part Of $20K Grant

New Castle, PA — A Butler County Community College food security program for low-income students will receive a $20,000 grant that will in part expand a 4½-year-old main campus Pioneer Pantry to BC3 @ Lawrence Crossing and to other BC3 additional locations in Armstrong, Butler and Jefferson counties.
