PHOTOS: Wolverines Knock Off Riverside 52-40

The Ellwood City boys basketball team used a well rounded scoring attack to knock off rival Riverside 52-40 on Tuesday at Lincoln High School. Three Wolverines reached double digits led by junior guard Kaleb Servick who scored a game-high 17 points.  Tyler Smiley finished with 11 points (two 3-pointers, four assists, five steals) and Aaron Lake scored 10 points in the victory. Mayor Anthony Court reached out to Ellwoodcity.org to confirm that Ellwood City will now hold its trick or treat night on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. “It is being moved due to the predicted inclement weather,” Court said. School Crossing Guard to Borough Council: Speeding Out of Control, Dangerous

A school crossing guard urged the Ellwood City Borough Council to do something about the speeding cars at the intersection of 4th and Crescent Avenues Monday evening at the regular meeting of council prompting immediate action by Mayor Anthony Court.
