Backyard Composting & Rain Barrel Workshop Planned
The Lawrence County Conservation District and the Lawrence-Mercer Recycling/Solid Waste Department are partnering to offer another one of their popular workshops about backyard composting and stormwater management. “Our last compost/rain barrel workshop was huge success with almost 40 registrants,” says Director Jerry P. Zona. “Due to the demand and feedback we received, we decided to offer it again.” The workshop is scheduled for the evening of May 19, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. It will be held at the Lower East Side Community Garden in New Castle.
