Local Boxer Prepares for First Professional Match

Rosalindo Morales Jr. is a 23 year old graduate of Lincoln High who has been pursuing a boxing career since the young age of 13. After starting boxing as a hobby at the Ellwood City Police Boxing Club, his dedication towards the sport finally paid off when he was recently signed to professionally box full time. “Being professional has been my main goal since I started. Carpenter’s Project: “A Very Successful Year”

Last Friday marked the completion of the 16th successful year of the Carpenter’s Project. Over 230 adults and youth volunteered to assist in the renovation of 75 projects on a total of 46 homes, working from morning until evening all week with a “much needed” half day on Wednesday, Executive Director and volunteer of the project since its fifth year, Steven Miller said. Pennsylvania American Water announced today that the company will be hosting an informational meeting regarding the construction of a new water treatment in Wayne Township, Lawrence County, on July 20, 2017, at the Chewton Fire Hall located at 196 Alice Street, in Wampum, Pa. The Riverside nonprofit organization, ROAR, hosted a “Touch a Truck” event yesterday as part of their annual fundraising activities. Traveling Baseball Team Conducts Ewing Park Clean Up

They are a traveling Baseball team that travels throughout PA, Maryland and West Virginia doing community service and playing baseball games for different communities. Jeff Potter is originally from Ellport Borough and was an exceptional Baseball Player. Today the Potter Traveling team conducted a clean up at the Ewing Park Nature Trail followed by lunch and drinks compliments from Red Hot, McDonald’s, and Johnny’s Pizza.
