The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458. NOTE The Library will continue doing curbside pickup. Please call us with the book(s), authors, genre or recommended material you would like to check out and our staff will see that it is in alphabetical order in the lobby for you. Limitations for patrons are 10 books and three, either books on CD or DVD’s, per person. The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458. NOTE The Library will be taking return books in specially marked bin in the Library parking lot Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Bins are for Library books and Inter-library Loan books only. The Re-Opening Of Ellwood City Public Library

The Ellwood City Public Library, as well as all public libraries in the state of Pennsylvania, was closed to the public on March 14th and all other services were placed on hiatus due to COVID-19. For the past 10-weeks, due to the closing order from the Office of Commonwealth Libraries part of the Department of Education), staff members joined the rest of the nation in the work from home order. Ellwood City Public Library Closes To Coincide With School Closures

On Friday, and in advance to the national state of emergency declaration, the state of Pennsylvania stepped up containment efforts by ordering a two-week closure of all public schools and urging residents to stay away from malls, gyms and other public spaces. In accordance, the Office of Commonwealth Libraries has instructed all Pennsylvania public libraries to close Saturday through March 29, to coincide with the school closure.
