The annual Ellwood City festival took place this past weekend, bringing thousands to the grounds of Ewing Park for food, crafts and entertainment. The weekend included its annual 10k race and culminated with a fireworks spectacular Sunday evening. Bristol Borselli was crowned 2024 Little Miss Firecracker on Friday. PHOTOS: Little Miss Firecracker Pageant Kicks Off 2024 Festival

The Ellwood City Festival kicked off Friday with its 7th Annual Little Miss Firecracker pageant. The 2024 Little Miss Firecracker crown was awarded to 6-year-old Bristol Borselli. Bristol is the daughter of Drew and Keisha Borselli. Bristol dazzled the judges with her patriotic outfit that included a red, white and blue lace dress and sparkling red cowgirl boots. She won them over with her sparkling personality to match! 2021 Ellwood City Festival Postponed

According to its social media post Tuesday evening, the Ellwood City Arts, Crafts, Foods, and Entertainment Festival Committee has cancelled its 2021 event. This postponement marks a second consecutive year the festival has been canceled due to coronavirus safety concerns. Fireworks Fundraiser More Than Doubles Goal: $11,230 Raised

The fireworks fundraiser earned double plus its $5,000 goal tallying out at a final number of $11,230. Festival Announces Little Miss Firecracker Participants

On Friday, June 28, Ellwood City’s Folino Stage will again ‘light up’ as 17 young ladies vie for this year’s title of Little Miss Firecracker. The 5th annual pageant is the kick-off for the 39th Ellwood City Arts, Crafts, Food, and Entertainment Festival and will begin at 11:15 am. The three-day festival will take place in Ewing Park, Ellwood City. Pageant participants range from ages 5-7 and live within a 15 mile radius of Ellwood City. Festival Committee Cancels Fireworks

The beloved Ellwood City Festival Fireworks have been canceled. The announcement came from Ellwood City Arts, Crafts, Foods and Entertainment Festival Committee. “The Festival budget exceeds $60,000 each year, and as you probably know, prices don’t come down, they go up,” the committee said. “The total budget covers police protection, trash pick-up, porta-johns, cleaning service, use of the park, fireworks, entertainment, advertising, insurance, and more. The Ellwood City Festival took place all weekend, there were competitions including the Little Miss Firecracker pageant and Ledger 10K race. Dia Rose Greco, daughter of Robert and Jennier Greco, was named the 2018 Little Miss Firecracker. She was dressed as a USO hostess and gave a salute to the crowd. Doug Petrik was the overall winner of the Ledger 10K race for the fourth consecutive year. His finish time was 35:35.6.
