The Ellwood City Festival took place all weekend, there were competitions including the Little Miss Firecracker pageant and Ledger 10K race. Dia Rose Greco, daughter of Robert and Jennier Greco, was named the 2018 Little Miss Firecracker. She was dressed as a USO hostess and gave a salute to the crowd.
Doug Petrik was the overall winner of the Ledger 10K race for the fourth consecutive year. His finish time was 35:35.6.
Performances by local jazz, country and rock bands kept the music flowing all three days. The festival, as always, finished the weekend with fireworks provided by Zambelli International.
