Ellwood City Community Garden Seeks Volunteers

The Ellwood City Community Garden is a collaborative project between the Borough of Ellwood City, the local food bank, and many community volunteers and local businesses. The garden is composed of raised beds, each planted, tended to, and harvested by volunteers from our community. The harvest is donated to the local food bank in a effort to increase access to fresh, nutrient-dense produce for community members in need. PHOTOS: Winners Of Ellwood City Community Garden Coloring Contest Announced

The winners of the Community Garden Coloring Contest gathered together on Thursday, May 2nd outside of the Municipal Building to claim their prizes and view their artwork. The winners were chosen from a wide variety of entries, each with its own unique style. Borough of Ellwood City Holding Its Annual Community Garden Poster Contest

The Department of Public Works would like to invite all children between the ages of 4-12 to participate in our Poster Contest! If you have visited our Community Garden at 5 points, you may have noticed the picture boards on the borough utility shed. The deadline for the Community Garden Poster Contest is Friday! The Ellwood City Borough Department of Public Works opened up the contest last month to all children between the ages of 4-12 to participate by submitting their carefully crafted and drawn artwork.
