VROOM: Wampum Pinewood Derby Race Packs Action For Kids

Vroom, Vroom.  The Wampum 225 Pinewood Derby Race is scheduled next month. The event will take place at the Wampum Community Park Upper Pavilion on Saturday, August 6, 2022. The race starts at 4:00pm.  Car kits cost is $10.00 Prizes for Fastest Car and Best Design. Categories for Kids up to 11 and 12+ The event is sponsored by Wampum Presbyterian Church. Cub Scout Pack 806 Holds Pinewood Derby

Ellwood City’s local Cub Scout Pack 806 held its annual Pinewood Derby on March 13 at the First United Methodist Church in Ellwood City with 35 boys participating. The top three finishers were Tiger Scout, Paul Agnew, first place, Webelo Scout, Jacob Donley, second place and Wolf Scout, Liam Woloszyn, third place. Fan Favorites was presented to Tiger Scouts, Wyatt Kyle and Luke Johnston. Best Effort/Sportsmanship was presented to Wolf Scout, Eddie Britton. Although COVID required some changes in the derby this year, all the boys did a great job building their cars and had a fun day racing. Pack…
