Cub Scout Pack 806 Holds Pinewood Derby

Ellwood City’s local Cub Scout Pack 806 held its annual Pinewood Derby on March 13 at the First United Methodist Church in Ellwood City with 35 boys participating.

The top three finishers were Tiger Scout, Paul Agnew, first place, Webelo Scout, Jacob Donley, second place and Wolf Scout, Liam Woloszyn, third place.

Fan Favorites was presented to Tiger Scouts, Wyatt Kyle and Luke Johnston. Best Effort/Sportsmanship was presented to Wolf Scout, Eddie Britton. Although COVID required some changes in the derby this year, all the boys did a great job building their cars and had a fun day racing.

Pack 806 meets on Wednesday evenings during the school year in the Fellowship Hall of First United Methodist Church, 416 Crescent Ave., Ellwood City with various summer activities as well and is open to boys Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.

The boys enjoy many activities throughout the year such as overnight outings, fall family camping, winter camping, hiking, swimming, fishing and many more activities.

Registration for the upcoming year begins in September. If your boy is interested in joining, email cubpack806@gmail.com for information and for general information about Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, visit www.morainetrails.org/.
