One of the Ellwood City Municipal Women House Tour homes, the Bissell household, located at 3302 River Road in Ellwood City, is the first home on the list to be decorated for the event. Though the family still has a few decorations to finish putting up, the majority of work has been completed. From flamboyant nutcrackers to a surfin’ Santa, home owner Teresa Bissell stated that her favorite decoration is the Dr. Seuss tree. PHOTOS: Holiday Scenes Painted by Art Students

Art students at Lincoln High spent yesterday’s school day painting holiday scenes on Lawrence Avenue and Fifth Street windows. More information about the event can be viewed by clicking here. Art Students Prepare Wreaths for Senior Citizens

To kick off the giving season, senior citizens in two local nursing homes will be receiving hand crafted wreaths early in December. Progressive Home Health, a Monaca based home health care agency serving senior citizens in the local counties, has teamed up with the art students at Lincoln High School to create wreaths to give to local elderly patients for Christmas. Art Students to Paint Holiday Scenes on Downtown Windows This Week

After a several year break, the Ellwood City Kitchen Cabinet is sponsoring the High School Art Department, 3D printer students and parent volunteers to paint windows of buildings and businesses throughout downtown Ellwood City for the holiday season along Lawrence Ave. & Fifth St. on Thursday, Nov. 16 from 8a.m-2p.m. “Three years ago when we approached the EC Art Club to paint the vacant building windows on the 500 block, it gave a lift to the avenue and the public actually thought the buildings were occupied. Wampum Area Christmas Parade Treat Sign-ups

The Wampum Area Christmas Parade is on  Dec. 2nd 2017 at 1 pm.  As in previous years, children aged 12 and under can meet Santa after the Parade in the gymnasium and Santa will give them a treat bag.  However, children must be registered in advance for the treat bag.  Treat bags are free to Wampum area children. Wampum Light Up Night Announced

Wampum Area Business Association announces its Light Up the Town Night on Thursday, November 30, 2017 starting at 6:00 p.m. They will be dedicating the “all new over the street Christmas Decorations” that were purchased by donations from local businesses and the community. The evening will be highlighted by a horse drawn carriage ride through town, entertainment by Dance Expressions, Diamond Dance, Studio P, and the Northside Kindergarten Carolers.  The New Castle Clogger Club will also perform.  DJ Rockin Ryan will provide music throughout the evening.
