All things change with time. Beaver County’s Assessment system is no exception. Beaver County has contracted with Tyler Technologies to conduct a reassessment project to update property assessments from a base year of 1982, providing an efficient technical process with current, accurate property values. According to information made available by Franklin Township, starting Thursday, Tyler Technologies will begin visiting properties in Franklin Township as part of this county reassessment program. Christmas Tree Disposal Information

With the Christmas season winding down, the once lively trees that brought joy and light up our homes are dying and needles are rapidly covering homes. According to a release made available Monday, Ellwood City Borough residents may drop off their live Christmas trees (decorations removed) for disposal at Stiefel Park, just inside the park entrance from Brighton Road, now through January 31.  There will be a sign to mark the disposal drop location.  Drop off will be available during normal hours the park is open to the public. 2020 Beaver County Hazardous Waste Collection Date Announced

Safely dispose of common household chemicals and take advantage of the Beaver County Hazardous Waste Collection event that is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2020. The collection will take place at the Bradys Run Park Recycling Center from 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. A new fee structure will be in place – $20.00 and covers disposal of up to 10 gallons/50 pounds of the accepted materials. Oversize loads will be subject to additional charges. US Dept of Agriculture To Distribute Rabies Vaccinations By Helicopter In Beaver County

The United States Department of Agriculture will begin distribution of rabies vaccinations by helicopter in Beaver County on August 10, and continue thru August 17, as part of their National Rabies Management Program. Baits containing the rabies vaccination will be dispersed by helicopter in order to reach desired locations that would otherwise be difficult to access. During this time period, area residents may see helicopters moving within the same area multiple times in a slow manner. The New Brighton Police Department are asking for help finding a burglar whose been seen on home security system footage. The surveillance was taken at a home on 10th Street in New Brighton, and much like the recent story we reported on in Shenango Township, this burglar is going into people’s houses when they are home and stealing from them.
