PHOTOS: Bald Eagle Spotted In Ewing Park

Thursday evening, along the banks of the Connoquenessing Creek in Ewing Park, a bald eagle was spotted just off the Nature Trail walkway.  Walkers who enter the Nature Trail north entrance (nearest to Helling Stadium) may be able to catch a glance of this phenomenal bird. Ellwood City Bald Eagles Return to Nest

A walk to the natural trail at Rodger’s Park yesterday confirmed the eagles of Ellwood City have again returned to their nest to raise this years hatchlings! Along the banks of the Connoquenessing Creek in Wayne Township is a family of bald eagles. Every year, since 2010, the couple has returned to the same nest to raise eaglets. We’ve gotten our first reader submissions to our call for photos and videos of the Wayne Township bald eagles, which includes one of the eagles in flight. It doesn’t appear that the eaglets are big enough to stick above the nest yet.
