The Ellwood City Historical Society board meeting was held on June 6, 2022 unveiling the Annual Fund Drive. The ways and means committee announced the dates for the starting of the fund drive. The committee stated the fund drive would start June 15 and run to August 15, 2022. The committee is composed of Everett Bleakney, Charles Brown, Robert Morabito, and Andrew Kindle chairman. The Ellwood City Area Historical Society has had fund drives since the early days of the formation of the Society, 33 years ago, with the purpose of the Society to collect, protect and preserve the artifacts of the history of our town and its surrounding area. “The annual fund drive was becoming less effective in raising money to help cover our operating budget, says fund drive chairman Andrew Kindle. “More money was coming in toward dues payments then donations.” The Ways and Means committee at the monthly meeting in June sat down to discuss the problem of low donations.
