Everett Bleakney, Board President of the Ellwood City Area Historical Society sent in a recap of the successful “We Can Do It!” exhibit: “The WW II “We Can Do It!” Senator John Heinz History Center exhibit was a huge success. 485 students recognized for academic success  Monaca, PA – Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) is proud to release 485 names of both full-time and part-time students who achieved President’s List and Dean’s List honors for the spring 2017 semester. CCBC Celebrates Student Success at First Annual Night of Excellence

Aliquippa, PA – On a beautiful spring evening, Community College of Beaver County brought together faculty and staff, trustees, donors, and families to recognize and celebrate 120 students who this year have achieved success in the classroom, on campus, and in the community. Little Miss Firecracker Pageant to Kick-Off 2016 Festival!

The third annual Little Miss Firecracker Pageant will kick off this year’s Ellwood City Community Day at the Ellwood City Festival. 15 girls between the ages of four and seven will vie for the title on Friday, July 1 at 11:15 a.m. on Folino Stage. Local Resident to Be Featured Tonight “Get Marty” Television Series

Local resident Joseph Gasper will be featured tonight on KDKA during the popular Marty Griffin series, “Get Marty”, a segment that appears on the six o’clock news. 97 year-old Gasper, one of the area’s last surviving veterans, was injured on Dec. 7, 1941 at the attack on Pearl Harbor. His family had tried several times 18 months ago to get a chair lift installed, so he could safely go downstairs from his bedroom to the rest of the house.
