Marlene Patterson 81, of New Beaver Borough, passed away Friday June 16, following a brief illness. Born June 30, 1941 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Harry Morgan and Helen (Duff) Patterson. Marlene graduated from Mohawk High School in 1959 and then graduated from New Castle Business School. After graduating, she worked several places until she started her own business Marlene Patterson Freight Agency and Mini Storage in Wampum in 1985. She was a member of Wampum United Methodist Church. Charles (Chuck) Gregory Essey, 65, of New Galilee, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at UPMC – Jameson Hospital. Born October 3, 1957 in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Charles Essey and Betty (Campbell-Essey) Kennedy. Chuck was an avid outdoorsman who spent much of his time in nature.
