Matthew W. Cogley Sr., 88, of Franklin Township passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 at his residence. Born June 12, 1934 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Leroy Ellwood and Louise Smith Cogley. He was married to Kathleen Gilligan Cogley. Matthew was a Veteran of the US Air Force. He worked as a Union Electrician until his retirement from Frankl Electric in McKees Rocks. Some of Matt’s interests were fishing, puzzles, being outside, and working in his rose garden. Mr. David James Mastropietro, 78, of Wayne Township passed away on Monday, January 16th, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Medical Center. Mr. Mastropietro was born in New Castle on May 29th, 1944 to the late James Joseph and Helen (Valentine) Mastropietro. David graduated from Mohawk High School with the class of 1962 where he was a record setting track star and Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education in 1966. John Charles Brady, 76 of Tomah, Wisconsin, passed away on January 8, 2023 at Edison Manor, New Castle, PA after suffering a stroke a year ago. John was born on June 13, 1946 in Sparta, WI, only child of John P. and Cecelia (Lobenstein) Brady. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic grade school in 1960 and Tomah High School in 1964. Royann Winfield, 62, of Ellport passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at her residence following a 3 1/2 year courageous battle with cancer. Royann faced her battle with cancer with strength, courage, and a positive attitude that was an example to all. Born November 15, 1942 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Orville Cox and Lorraine Kildoo Jeffers. Suella graduated from Lincoln High School in 1960. Gary L. “Shorty” Armstrong, 72, of Wampum passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospital following injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident.
