Ralph D. “Boogie” Bognoski, 80, of Chewton passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at his residence following a short illness. Born October 10, 1943 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Chester and Monica Powell Bognoski. He was married to Linda Rambo Bognoski. Boogie graduated from Lincoln in 1962. Following graduation, he served as a member of the National Guard. He worked as a machine operator for 22 years at B&W before continuing his career at Koppel Steel where he ultimately retired in 2006. Russo, 43, formerly of Ellwood City passed away in St. Petersburgh, Florida, in a heroic effort he made to save his girlfriend’s life in 2018, after pushing her out of the way of an erratic driver, Ryan was left in a coma which later claimed his life on September 5th, 2024 .
