Yolanda “Penny” Paxson Arkett, 73

Mrs. Yolanda “Penny” (Paxson) Arkett went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born December 27th, 1948 to the late Joseph Paxson Sr. and Yolanda (DeCaro) Morrison. She married her beloved husband James Arkett on August 22nd, 1981, who survives. She is also survived by her daughter Amy (Mike) Westcott of Edinburg and son Andrew (Jenny) Arkett of West Mifflin. William C. Bodnar, 69, of Cochranton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at his son’s residence surrounded by those he loved following a two-year illness. Born December 15, 1952, in Canonsburg, he was the son of the late William and Joyce Hopkins Bodnar. He was married to Karen Wagstaff Bodnar. Casey A. Jeffries, 44, of Shenango Township, passed away at UPMC Jameson on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. Robert Lee Brown, 89, of North Sewickley Township passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 23, 2022 at his residence. Born December 22, 1932, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Ira and Lottie Welsh Brown. He was married to the love of his life, Marilou Boots Brown for 65 years until her passing. Dominick Russo, 75, of Ellwood City, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022 at UPMC Mercy. Born in New Castle on May 9, 1947, Dominick was the son of the late Bennie and Mary Rossi Russo.  He married the former Kathleen Tomon on April 24, 1969.  Dominick worked at Medusa Cement and later retired from Cemex.  After his retirement, he also worked at American Eagle in Cranberry Township.  A member of Divine Grace Parish, Dominick enjoyed cooking and baking, hunting and fishing, and working on cars.  He was always doing something for someone. Mr. James C. Spielvogel, 87, of Wayne Township passed away at his residence on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022 and was reunited with his beloved dog Rommel. Mr. Spielvogel was born on May 11th, 1935 in New Castle to the late George and Mary Rose (Delaney) Spielvogel. Jim is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1954, and the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Mr. Umberto “Birdie” Carosi Jr., 92, of Perry Township passed away on October 21st, 2022 at The Grove in Harmony. Birdie was born on June 21st, 1930 in Ellwood City to the late Umberto and Josephine (Maggi) Carosi Sr.. He attended Lincoln High School, and was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Richard A. “Dick” Brown, 76, of Ellwood City passed away Friday, October 14, 2022 at his residence following a lengthy illness. Born December 23, 1945 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Virginia Main Brown. Dick retired from the Ellwood City Fire Department following 25 years of service to the community.
