One of the last Holy Redeemer Church “Pizza Ladies” , Mrs. Rose S. Pietrcollo, 95, passed away on Sunday,. January 19th, 2025 at the Avalon Care Center in New Castle. Mrs. Pietrcollo was born in Ellwood City on April 1st, 1929 to the late Donato “Dan” and Mary A. (Ferell) Angelucci, Sr.. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1947. For many years, Rose worked for the Ellwood City Area School District as a cafeteria worker, mainly taking care of the teacher’s lounge. Nancy Mae Holmes, 62, of New Castle passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at UPMC – Jameson Hospital. Born August 20, 1962 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Ralph I. Jr. and Lucille (Goodland) Brommer. Nancy had worked at the Hill View Manor as a nurse’s aide. She was a devoted animal lover who cared deeply for her pets. Her most cherished moments were spent with friends and family. Timothy Slavic, 72, of Ellwood City, PA passed away at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford, PA. with his loving wife Billie by his side. Mrs. Marcy L. Shaffer, 60, of North Sewickley Township passed away on Tuesday, January 14th, 2025 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Marcy was born on October 3rd, 1964 in New Brighton to the late John P. and Patricia A. (Clark) Cavanaugh. She had graduated from American Schools with the class of 1983. Mary Machine, 79, of Beaver Falls passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Edna Householder and was born September 21, 1945. She is survived by her children, Todd (Beth) of Pittsburgh; Rebecca of Beaver Falls; and granddaughter, Sarah. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas (passed October 22, 2024) and daughter, Pamela. She operated a cleaning business for many years.
