Lynn N. Guy of Wampum went peacefully home to be with the Lord on October 9, 2016 surrounded by all of his loving and devoted family. He was born in Chewton on July 23, 1931 to the late Blanche Aley Guy and Frank J. Guy. Lynn attended Wampum High School and Ellwood City High School. He also attended the New Castle School of trades, studying auto mechanics. A veteran, Lynn served at Camp Irwin in Barstow, CA from 1951-1953. Dale B. Brown, 93, of Old Rt 18, Wampum (New Beaver Boro) passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 6, 2016 at his residence. Born March 9, 1923 in Wampum, he was the son of the late William A. and Icle Vogel Brown. He was married for 61 years to Evelyn M. Swogger Brown who passed away September 27, 2006. Dale graduated from Wampum High School in 1941. He proudly served in the Army during WWII. Peter C. Wallace, 66, of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully, his family by his side, on Tuesday, October 4 2016 in the Ellwood City Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Ellwood City on June 26, 1950, to the late W. Paul Wallace and the late Letitia Clyde Wallace. Pete graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, class of 1969. Dawna L. Latimer, 86, of Ellwood City,  passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, October 2 2016 in the Ellwood City Hospital. She was born in New Castle on July 2 1930 to the late Russell and Ella Thompson Kemp. Dawna graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, in the class of 1948. She worked from 1966-1992 as a school secretary/clerk for the Ellwood City School District, mainly at Walnut Ridge School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ellwood City. Russell A. Carr, 60, of Wampum passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at the VNA Hospice in Butler following a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born January 7, 1956 in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Vincent and Donna J. Moore Carr. Russell graduated in 1974 from VoTech HIgh School. Following graduation, he worked in the Painter’s Union. For the past 28 years, Russell worked as a lineman for Penn Power. An avid outdoorsman, Russell enjoyed hunting. Born August 14, 1926 in Gallitzin, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Bertha Olshefka Zajac. He was married for 62 years to Irene Rafacz Zajac who survives.
