Mrs. Rosetta Chontos, 87, of Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 2, 2017 in the Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, MD. Mrs. Chontos was born on February 13, 1930 in Ellwood City to the late Domenico and Louise M. Noschese Recce. Rosetta graduated from  Lincoln High School with the class of 1948. She had worked at the Ellwood City Hospital for many years as a nurses aide. Mr. Harry C. Boots, Jr., 79, of Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2017 at the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beaver Falls. Mr. Boots was born in Ellwood City on July 17, 1937 to the late Harry and Rosalie Boots. He was a self employed eighteen wheeler. He also worked as a heavy equipment operator for several local companies. Harry also enjoyed farming, growing vegetables and flowers. Mr. George A. Veres, 80, of Franklin Twp. passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 in the Good Samaritan Hospice. Mr. Veres was born on May 12, 1937 to the late Denes and Margaret Falcsik Veres. He is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1956, and the Holy Redeemer Parish. George served with the U.S. Army, partially in Korea, from 1956 until his discharge in 1960 with the 1St Cavalry Division. Gary D. Hedglin Sr, 64, of Beaver Falls passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at his residence. Born August 7, 1952 in Stoneboro, PA, he was the son of the late LaVerne J. and Mary Velda Clingerman Hedglin Sr. He was married to Tracy L. Honneffer Hedglin who survives. Gary graduated from Riverside High School. For many years, Gary worked in the automotive repair and restoration business. He was an avid hunter and thoroughly loved the outdoors. Richard E. Rodgers, 71 of State St., Ellport passed away at his residence on Monday, June 26, 2017 following a lengthy illness.
