Alberta Patrizio Wegner, 87, formerly of Ellwood City passed away peacefully following a short illness on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones. Alberta was born on June 3, 1928 to the late Stephen and Anna Kulikowski Gumienny in Ellwood City. She was married to Neblo Anthony Patrizio for 45 years. They raised their family in Ellwood City and were active in church, school and community events. Members of Pine Hill Pioneer Campers, they enjoyed cross country travel and camping. Shirley was born on July 28, 1933 in Forestville, Pa. to the late Joseph and Mary Demarsh Thomas. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1951 and the Holy Redeemer Parish. Mary B. Verdecchia, 88, of Ellwood City passed away on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 in the Ellwood City Hospital. Mary was born on June 7, 1927 in Ellwood City to the late Charles A. and Rose Marie Lasso Carone. She had worked for 30 years at Johnny’s Pizza Shop as a cook. Patsy J. Vendetti, 65, of Ellwood City, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016. He was born in Ellwood City to the late John Venditti and Rose Venditti of Ellwood City. He was a 1969 graduate of Lincoln High School, and was a veteran of the United States Navy. George Walter Martin, 92, of Enon Valley (Little Beaver Twp.) passed away Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016 at Heritage Valley – Beaver Hospital. A lifelong resident of Little Beaver Twp., George was born June 6, 1923 to the late Alfred A. and Hilda M. Keebler Martin. Tony P. Guerrera, 77, of Ellwood Road, New Castle (Wayne Twp.) climbed the stairway to heaven into the open arms of his Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016. Born Sept. 27, 1938 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Paul and Filomena Condell Guerrera. Goldie F. Cochran Reese, 87, formerly of Ellwood City, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday afternoon, Jan. 25, 2016 at the Paramount Assisted Living Center in Pittsburgh. She was born in Butler on April 21, 1928 to the late John Calvin Cochran and the late Hazel Biddle Cochran.
