Peter C. Wallace, 66, of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully, his family by his side, on Tuesday, October 4 2016 in the Ellwood City Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Ellwood City on June 26, 1950, to the late W. Paul Wallace and the late Letitia Clyde Wallace. Pete graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, class of 1969. He was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City. Pete was employed for 47 year at Loccisano’s Golden Dawn in Ellwood City, as a receiving clerk. Dawna L. Latimer, 86, of Ellwood City,  passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, October 2 2016 in the Ellwood City Hospital. She was born in New Castle on July 2 1930 to the late Russell and Ella Thompson Kemp. Dawna graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, in the class of 1948. She worked from 1966-1992 as a school secretary/clerk for the Ellwood City School District, mainly at Walnut Ridge School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ellwood City. Russell A. Carr, 60, of Wampum passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at the VNA Hospice in Butler following a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born January 7, 1956 in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Vincent and Donna J. Moore Carr. Russell graduated in 1974 from VoTech HIgh School. Following graduation, he worked in the Painter’s Union. For the past 28 years, Russell worked as a lineman for Penn Power. An avid outdoorsman, Russell enjoyed hunting. Martin C. Zajac, 90, of Allen Court, Wampum passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at his residence. Born August 14, 1926 in Gallitzin, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Bertha Olshefka Zajac. He was married for 62 years to Irene Rafacz Zajac who survives. Marty retired in 1986 from Babcox and Wilcox. He was a member for over 50 years of St. Monica Church in Wampum, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society. Donald  Loyal  Hockenberry,  88, of  Harpers Ferry Road, Ellwood City (North Sewickley Twp), passed away peacefully at his home on  Thursday  morning, September 29 2016. He was born in Frisco (Franklin Twp, Beaver Co.) on January 16 1928 to the late Loyal E. and Ethel G. McCartney Hockenberry. Kaufman, 98, of Douglasville Georgia,  formerly of Ellwood City (Wiley Hill), passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 27 2016 at the Brookdale Assisted Living Center in Lithia Springs GA. She was born in Ellwood City on November 27 1917 to the late Earl Ellwood Duncan and the late Ida Mae Hummer Duncan.
