Larry J. Price, 75, of Franklin Township passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Brighton Township.   Born in Ellwood City on May 28, 1941, Larry was the son of Lloyd and Dora Belle Palm Kettler.  He married the former Charlotte Blinn on November 16, 1963.  Larry was a 1959 graduate of Lincoln High School and a member of Lillyville Church of God.  He was formerly employed at the Gulf Service Plaza on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and then he retired from Calgon (now NALCO) in 2003. Nellie V. Nye Brown, 88, of the Carriage Court, Ellwood Road, New Castle, formerly of Glen Avenue, Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 19 2016 at Golden Hill Nursing Home, New Castle. She was born in North Sewickley,  Beaver County, on January 19 1928 to the late Joseph “Bert”  Nye and the late Florence Lena Weil Nye. Nellie  graduated as valedictorian  from the old Portersville-Muddy Creek  High School, and later attended Butler Business College. Mr. Carl J. Thomas, Sr., 92, of Perry Twp. passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 18, 2016. Mr. Thomas was born on August 28, 1924 in Grove City to the late Anthony F. and Lena DeMarsh Thomas. He had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1943. Carl enlisted with the U.S. Army Air Corp. on June 12, 1943 and served as a transport plane pilot in the South Pacific until his discharge in April of 1946. Bonnie Mae Graham Kirkley, 80 of Marco Island, FL passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Avow Hospice House in Naples, FL. The daughter of the late Loron and Lillian Reynolds Graham, Bonnie Mae was born in Ellwood City on March 7, 1936.  She is survived by her husband, Edward F. David M. McDanel, 74, of Fombell passed away Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Villa St. Joseph of Baden following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born May 26, 1942 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late H. Lewis and Ada Graham McDanel. He was married for 23 years to Paula Leathers McDanel who survives. Mr. William G. Strouse, Jr., 85, of Ellwood City passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 in the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Butler.
