Jennifer L. Orock, 50, of Ellport passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Jennifer was born on July 14, 1967 in Ellwood City to Diana (Sera) Barton of Ellwood City and the late John L. Barton. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1985, and the Holy Redeemer Parish family.  Jen had worked at the Ellwood City Ledger in the circulation and advertising departments, and most recently at Blair Personnel Care Home. Anastazia “Nellie” Ohorodnyk, 95, formerly of Koppel passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at Providence Care Center. Born February 12, 1923 in Sanok, Prybysziw, Ukraine, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Berezniak.  She was married for 62 years to John Ohorodnyk when he passed away July 6, 2005. Nellie was a member of the former St. Theresa Church in Koppel where she was a longtime member of their Christian Mothers Association. She currently is a member of Holy Redeemer in Ellwood City. Edwin W. “Bud” Hardy, 89, of New Beaver Boro passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Haven Nursing Home following a short illness. Born October 13, 1928 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Claude Wheeler and Hazel Elizabeth McKim Hardy. He was married to Ruth Mae Reed Hardy for 63 years as they were married May 15, 1954. Donald Edward Boydell, 90, of Pershing St., Ellwood City passed away at sunset on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Ellwood City Hospital in the presence of his family. Born January 12, 1928 in Connellsville, PA, he was eldest child of the late John Joseph and Florence Edith Gross Boydell. Don was married to Delores Frishkorn Boydell for more than 66 years as they were married June 16, 1951. She survives. Don graduated from Lincoln High School and Geneva College. Douglas K. Schnell, 71, of Walnut Dr., New Castle (Shenango Twp.) passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at UPMC Horizon – Shenango Valley. Born March 12, 1947 in Butler, he was the son of the late Dorothy McWilliams . He was married to Cyndy Martin Schnell for 47 years as they were married June 27, 1970. She survives. Mr. Ernest C. Mallary, 76, of Wayne Twp. passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the UPMC Jameson Hospital. Mr. Mallary was born on January 10, 1942 in Ellwood City to the late William M. and Hannah (McWithey) Mallary. He is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1961, and the Wurtemburg United Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Katherine Wiltrout, 94, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Passavant Retirement Community. Mrs. Wiltrout was born on September 14, 1923 in Ellwood City to the late Martin and Mary Segedi. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1941. For a brief time, Katherine worked at the Aetna Standard Engineering Co.. She also was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and the Ellwood City Saxons Club Auxiliary. Mrs. Linda L. Raman, 78, a lifelong resident of Ellwood City passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Ellwood City Medical Center. Although in ill health for over 22 years, death was unexpected. Linda was born on January 23, 1940 to John and Ruth (Krah) Smeltz. Her grandparents where William and Beulah Osborne Krah all preceding her in death. She’s lovingly survived by her husband, Joe.
