Mr. Robert L. Clark, 92, formerly of Shenango Twp. passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the Countryside Nursing Home in Mercer. Mr. Clark was born on July 6, 1925 in Warriors Mark, Pa to the late Harold F. and Marion F. Maines Clark. He had attended the Warriors Mark High School, and served with the U.S. Navy from October 27, 1943 until February 14, 1946 as a Seaman First Class. Mrs. Juliet (Julie) Marie Ottobre Plavecsky, 88, of Ellwood City passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 in her residence. She was born on July 8, 1929 to the late Luigi and Catherine Loccisano Ottobre in Ellwood City. Julie was a graduate of Lincoln High School class of 1947 and was employed at the former Ellwood City Knitting Mill and the former Mattress Plant. Brenda L. McCormick (née Shaner), 65, of Ellwood City, went home to Heaven on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, surrounded by family at Good Samaritan Hospice. From her birth on June 11, 1952, until her death, she served the Lord and extended love, kindness, and faith to those around her. She was born and raised in Portersville to Robert and Lela Shaner and was the eldest of three children. Her talents and passions included Christmas, singing, decorating cakes, playing the piano, throwing a mean theme party, sewing, and helping both lost animals and the homeless. Mrs. Anna Fresca, 79, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in the Grove at Harmony. Anna was born on December 27, 1937 in Ellwood City to the late Ralph and Mary S. Pucci Annarumo. She had graduated from Lincoln High School in 1955 and was a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish. A home maker, Anna enjoyed playing bingo. Mrs. Rosetta Chontos, 87, of Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 2, 2017 in the Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, MD. Mrs. Chontos was born on February 13, 1930 in Ellwood City to the late Domenico and Louise M. Noschese Recce. Rosetta graduated from  Lincoln High School with the class of 1948. She had worked at the Ellwood City Hospital for many years as a nurses aide. Mr. Harry C. Boots, Jr., 79, of Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2017 at the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beaver Falls. Mr. Boots was born in Ellwood City on July 17, 1937 to the late Harry and Rosalie Boots. He was a self employed eighteen wheeler. He also worked as a heavy equipment operator for several local companies. Harry also enjoyed farming, growing vegetables and flowers.
