Viola E. Jeckavitch, 92, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away at the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA on Thursday, December 27, 2018. Born in New Brighton, PA on June 16, 1926, Viola was the daughter of the late Adam and Julia Zombeck Grossman.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Brownie S. Jeckavitch who passed away on November 22, 2000.  They were married on November 24, 1945.  Viola retired from the Ellwood City Hospital in January of 1990 where she worked as a nurse for 33 years.  She was a graduate of the Rochester Hospital School of Nursing.  Viola was a member of…

Mark D. Douglas, 59, of North Sewickley Twp. passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver following a brief illness. He was born August 8, 1959 in New Brighton. Mark graduated from Riverside High School in 1977. He was a life long farmer who loved his vocation and was a member of the PA Farmers Association. Mark was also a member of the Concord United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing volleyball. Mr. Robert B. Lucarelli, 81, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at the Butler Memorial Hospital. Mr. Lucarelli was born on August 14, 1937 in Ellwood City to the late Lorenzo and Rafaelena (Ciramella) Lucarelli. Bob is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1957. Following high school, he served with the U.S. Army for four years during the Korean War. Bob worked at John Manseille (BNZ Materials) in Zelienople for 37 years as a kiln operator. Mrs. Reisinger was born on October 22, 1946 in Rimersburgh, Pa to the late Edwin Elder and Velma (Ramsey) McNaughton. She had graduated from the Rimersburgh High School with the class of 1965. She is also a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish and the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers. Mrs. Lois E. Ruby, 86, of Koppel passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018 at the Heritage Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Ruby was born on June 2, 1932 in New Brighton to the late John and Sarah (Greco) Rowan. For many years Lois worked at Ruby’s Framing in Koppel. Ida J. Ionellie, 80 of Ellwood City passed away at UPMC Presbyterian on Sunday, December 23, 2018. Born in Ellwood City on June 11, 1938, Ida was the daughter of the late John R. and Antonella Morella Pratt. Ida is survived by her husband, Joseph Ionellie, whom she married on June 24, 1967. Ida owned and operated Ida’s Luncheonette in Ellwood in the late 60’s and early 70’s.   She also had worked at Folino’s Pharmacy and Rite Aid. Ida was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish.
