Shirley F. Snare, 84, of  Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, August 1 2019, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, after a long illness. She was born in Ellwood City on June 22 1935 to the late Victor and Lillian McCready  Rider. Shirley graduated from Lincoln High School in 1953, and  graduated from the Jameson Hospital School of Nursing.    As a registered nurse, she worked for over 40 years at Jameson Hospital in New Castle. Russell B. Malcolm, 39, of North Beaver Twp. passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 29, 2019. Born October 22, 1979 in Ellwood City, he was the son of Russell J. Malcolm with whom he resided and the late Barbara Jean Moore Malcolm. Russell formerly worked at Doren Inc in Wampum and Steelite International in New Castle. He was currently employed at McKesson Pharmaceuticals. Russell was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also an avid Steeler Fan. Mr. Wilbert Gary Hall, 87, of Franklin Twp. passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019 at Curahealth Pittsburgh in Oakdale. Mr. Hall was born on June 14, 1932 in Franklin Twp. to the late Mike and Tressa (Ritter) Hall. He had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1950 and was an outstanding baseball player for the high school team. He then attended Geneva College where he studied Theology. Carol Marie (Brinker) Bofinger, 81, of North Sewickley Twp. passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Carol was born on July 8, 1938 in Brookville, PA, daughter of the late William and MaryBelle (Geist) Brinker. She graduated from Brookville Are High School in 1956. Gladys Jean Thompson, 88, of Wampum passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver. A lifelong Wampum resident, Jean was born February 27, 1931 to the late Lester Clare “Happy” and Florence A. (Shearer) McQuiston. She was married to William E. Thompson who died September 19, 2009. Mrs. Gloria Ann Anderson of Franklin Twp. devout and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother died peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospice Care in Wexford just days after her 94th birthday.
