Mrs. Jane E. Taylor, 90, of Beaver Falls passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp. Mrs. Taylor was born on May 10, 1929 in Paden City, West Virginia to the late William Arthur and Izetta (Tippens) Jacobs. A home maker, she enjoyed racing coon hounds with her husband, crocheting, baking, and working puzzles. Jane also was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Melvin L. Moser, 83, of Portersville passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Allegheny General Hospital following a two week illness. Born August 21, 1936 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Michael and Leila (Smith) Moser. Melvin formerly owned and operated Moser Logging and also worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church. Melvin served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Zelienople American Legion and the Ellwood City Hungarian Home. She was the daughter of the late Steven and Agnes (Shufert) Kramer and was born July 5, 1930 in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. Mr. Melvin G. Koch, 94, of Perry Township passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the Providence Care Center in Beaver Falls. Mr. Koch was born on June 29, 1925 in Ellport to the late George and Pearl (Deemer) Koch. He had graduated from Lincoln High School. Melvin enlisted with the U.S. Army on January 27, 1949 and served with the Company B 503rd Military Police at both Fort Knox and Fort Bragg until his discharge on August 19, 1949 with the rank of Private First Class.
