Rev. Donald Shellenberger, 91

Rev. Donald Shellenberger, 91, of Ellwood City passed into eternal life on August 24, 2018. Donald served in the US Navy in the South Pacific on the landing ship LST 1106. Later he worked for Babcock and Wilcox Co. as the Chief of Plant Security for 31 years. He served as Pastor of Bennetts Run United Methodist church for six years. Don was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl, his sister, Joanne Cowie, and his brother, Paul Shellenberger. Mr. Angelo M. Prestopine, 85, of Ellwood City passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Prestopine was born on March 29, 1933 in Ellwood City to the late Michael J. and Gilda E. (Docchio) Prestopine. He had attended Lincoln High School and was a member of the Holy Redeemer parish. Angelo had worked at the Babcock & Wilcox Steel Mill in Beaver Falls for 37 years. Edward P. Miller,  87, of Alliance Ohio, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, August 19 2018 at Altercare of Alliance. He was born in Ellwood City on July 4 1931 to the late John and Catherine Linder Miller. Ed graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, class of 1949. Esther Matilda Elizabeth “Betty” Gwin, 93, of North Beaver Township Passed away peacefully in her sleep with family by her side on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018. Mrs. Gwin was born May 8, 1925, in Bury St. Edmunds at Suffolk, England, the daughter of Harold V. and Ada C. Ross. She was a 1940 graduate of Ardleigh Green School, Hornchurch, Essex, England. Aseneth J. “Seene” Doctor, 50, of Wilkes Ave., Butler passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler following a short courageous battle with cancer.
