Esther G. Kelly,  67, of  Ellwood City (Wayne Twp.) passed  away peacefully on Thursday morning, April 18 2019 at  UPMC Mage-Womens  Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born in Ellwood City on June 12 1951, to the late Augustine  “Bud” and Edna Herold   Kelly. Esther graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, class of 1969.  She was a nurse’s aide at Jameson Hospital  and Jameson Hospice in New Castle for many years. Diana L. Hegedus, 58, of Ellport passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born August 15, 1960 in Mount Vernon, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. Hegedus Sr. who died in 2016 and Shirley Miskolcze Hegedus of Ellport. Diana graduated from Lawrence County Career Tech in 1979. She was employed by the Watchman Gospel Group in Clymer, PA. Victoria “Vicki” Scialdone, 96, Ellwood City passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Jameson Care Center following a brief illness. Vicki was born October 21, 1922 in Ellwood City to the late James Ferrese and Adeline Nugent Ferrese. Her mother died when Vicki was 3 years old. She married Anthony “Toy” Scialdone in 1951 and he predeceased her in 1985. Lois Jean Sari, 90, went home to be with her Savior on Monday, April 15, 2019. She passed away peacefully at her home of 71 years in Perry Township surrounded by her family. She was born July 21, 1928 in Castlewood to the late Robert Ben and Lulu Viola Lutz Newton. Mrs. Charlotte Duncan, 85, of Franklin Twp. passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at her residence. Mrs. Duncan was born on May 14, 1933, in Ellwood City to the late George and Mary (Frisk) Mazzie (Metz). She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1951. Mr. Robert J. Sappie, 92, of Wampum passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019, peacefully at his home in New Castle. Mr. Sappie was born on January 21, 1927, in Pittsburgh to the late Harry and Teresa (Guger) Sappie. Following high school, Robert enlisted with the U.S. Army on April 27, 1945, and served with the 350th Infantry Regiment as a Heavy Machine Gunner until his discharge on December 15, 1946, with the rank of Private First Class. Born November 11, 1949 in Spangler, PA, she was the daughter of the late Francis C. and Ethel Jean Miller Greene. She was married to Stanley E Strohecker for 48 years. He survives. David M. Fisher, 44, of Ellwood City passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital following an apparent heart attack. Born July 27, 1974 in the Jameson Hospital in New Castle, he was the son of the late Clyde Fisher and Ria Hookway Fisher of New Castle. He married Amy Cooper Fisher on May 26, 2006. She survives.
