Mr. Robert K. McDowell, a lifelong resident of Ellwood City, passed away on July 30, 2020 at UPMC Jameson in New Castle. Mr. McDowell was born April 4th, 1935 in Ellwood City to the late Paul A. and Thelma L. (Main) McDowell. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1954. He then enlisted into the U.S. Army (Active and Reserves) beginning in the late 1950s, serving in the Corps of Engineers, until his discharge in 1964. Alice Mae Ecenrode, 93, formerly of Wampum passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Avalon Place in New Castle. Born November 4, 1926 in Keeley, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Grace Lutz Hairhoger. Alice Mae was a graduate of Wampum High School. She worked as a clerk at the former Leonetti’s in Wampum and Lawson’s Grocery Store in Ellwood City. She was an active member and Deacon of the Wampum Presbyterian Church. A graveside service has been planned for Mary M. Ault of Lexington MO. formerly of New Beaver Borough who passed away November 15, 2019. Mary was born in Beaver County on May 14, 1938 to Elmer and Mary Ault and graduated from Wampum High School in May of 1956. She continued her education at Jameson School of Nursing where she earned an RN degree. She also earned her Bachelors Degree from Stevens College in Columbia MO. Donald J. Parker, 83 of Ellwood City passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Quality of Life Services in New Castle, PA. Born in Ellwood City on November 19, 1936, Don was the son of the late George H. and Lillian Ketterer Parker.  Don is survived by his wife, the former Carol A. Larry Edward “Ziggy” Zeigler, 67, of West Pittsburg passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Butler Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
