New Middletown – William J. Barber 69, passed away at his residence on Sunday morning February 14, 2021. He was born December 2, 1951 in Ellwood City, PA, a son of William G. and Mary K. Grekon Barber. William came to New Middletown twenty years ago and retired from G.M. Lordstown plant after working 30 years as an assembler William married the former Angela M. William “Lucky” Loccisano, 74, of Ellwood City, passed away at his residence on Sunday, February 14, 2021. Born in Ellwood City on January 9, 1947, Lucky was the son of the late James Loccisano and Stella Cartacio Loccisano.  A graduate of Lincoln High School, Lucky formerly owned Tri-State Webs.  He was a Veteran of the US Navy and a member of both the Hungarian Club and the Sons of Italy.  Lucky coached football for many years, including the Ellwood City Packers, Ellwood City Little Wolverines, Lincoln High School and Grove City High School.  He also coached baseball for many years…

Scott E. Hays, 27, of Ellwood City passed away at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital on Sunday, February 14, 2021. Born in Brighton Township on March 2, 1993, Scott was the son of Michelle Johnston Houk of Ellwood City and the late Paul (Scooter) Hays.  Also surviving is his wife, the former Chelsea Oslick, whom he married on February 9, 2019.  Scott had worked as an assistant manager at L.L. Erwin M. Tondt, 78, of Ellwood City, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at UPMC McCandless. Born in Poland on August 29, 1942, Erwin was the son of the late Otto and Berta Pekrul Tondt.  After Otto passed away unexpectedly, Erwin was raised by his step-father, Fred Class.  Erwin retired from INMETCO where he worked as a supervisor.  He married the former Norma Follett on August 26, 2006 and they both enjoyed playing pool when they were able.  He was also a member of the Hungarian Home. Shirley Rae Hairhoger Lucy Moore, 65, of Palm Bay, Florida passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2021. Born July 4, 1955 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. Hairhoger and Barbara L. Hozick Hairhoger, who survives. Shirley Rae attended Lawrence County Vo-Tech graduating in 1973 and attended Pen State. William E. Cummins, 72, of North Beaver Township passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital in Boardman following a short illness. Born June 16, 1948 in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Clarence K. and Florence E. McClurg Cummins. He was married to Jane E. Zeh Cummins for 52 years.
