Frances J. “Frannie” Goebel, 80, of Wayne Township passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 at Avalon Place following an extended illness. Born December 21, 1942 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Russel and Velma Grinnen Mohr. She was married to John O. Goebel Sr. on August 25, 1961. Frannie enjoyed working on the family farm. Her most cherished moments were spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Joseph Allen “Joey” Taylor, 46, of Wampum passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at his residence. He was born August 21, 1976 in Ellwood City, he was the son of Anthony M. Jr. and Linda M. Moczan Taylor. Joey was a member of the Wampum Methodist Church. He loved fishing, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and time spent with his family. Mrs. Theresia Manz, 91, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 at the UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp. Mrs. Manz was born in Apatin, Yugoslavia on April 25th, 1931 to the late Anton and Maria (Berli) Miller. She had graduated from high school in Yugoslavia. Theresia and her family moved to the United States in 1957 and settled in Ellwood City. For many years she worked at the Ellwood City Knitting Mill until it closed. Mr. Donald J. Mudric, 91, of Wayne Township passed away on Monday, March 6th, 2023 at his residence. Mr. Mudric was born on February 11th, 1932 in Ellwood City to the late Michael Mudric and Mildred (Whitey) Minnetti. Don graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1950. On March 21st, 1951 Don enlisted with the United States Air Force and served until his discharge on March 20th, 1955 with the rank of Staff Sargant. Goldie Elizabeth “Betty” Hinkle, 77, of Portersville passed away at 9:00 AM on Saturday March 4, 2023 at the Quality Life Services Chicora with her family at her side. She fought a valiant battle against Alzheimer’s Disease.
